Our Principles
Sustainability, by Design
We don't treat sustainability as an add-on. It's embedded in how our materials are chosen, how our wax is made, and where it's tested.
Raw Materials
Our wax is made from biogenic, plant-based materials sourced from renewable plants and agricultural by-products. They belong to a short biological carbon cycle, renewable by nature and not extracted from fossil systems.
We avoid PFAS, paraffin, petroleum, and synthetic glide boosters. Not because it is fashionable, but because we believe materials carry responsibility in the environments they move through.
Production and Energy
Our wax is produced in Austria, using solar electricity, allowing us to work with renewable energy across both production and research.
This is also where much of our on-snow testing takes place. The local mountain infrastructure runs on green electricity, making it possible to validate performance in real alpine conditions powered by renewable energy.
Because snow and climate conditions vary, development also takes place across multiple locations, ensuring our wax performs beyond a single snowpack or temperature band.
Longevity
We prioritise durability and long-term use. Extending the life of equipment and reducing unnecessary replacement is often the more responsible choice.
Packaging
All Arkvy product packaging is FSC-certified paper, sourced from responsibly managed forests and controlled sources, helping protect biodiversity and reduce environmental impact.
